Please phone (07) 4778 4581 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there are any unforeseen delays or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time. If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment.

Care outside normal opening hours

This practice provides 24-hour care for patients through our partnership with "Doctor to Your Door". Please telephone 1300 968 736 for all after hours emergencies.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 6pm to 10pm
  • Saturday: - 12pm to 10pm
  • Sunday/Pub Hol. - 8am to 10pm

- Calls will be taken for visits 2 hours prior to opening times.
- Charges apply after midnight until 8am. (Bulk billed until midnight)

Telephone access

GPs in the practice may be contacted during normal opening hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and the reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP will return your call. In an emergency your call will always be put through to a GP or the registered nurse on duty.

Fees and billing arrangements

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, MasterCard or Visa. The GP’s at the practice bulk bill Veterans. There is a consultation fee involved however this fee varies depending on the type and length of service required. A Medicare rebate is available on the above mentioned consultations. If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss this with the doctor.

Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized members of the staff. We abide by the 10
National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index/html

Getting the results for any test or procedure

Your doctor will advise when they expect to receive results at the practice. Call the practice to make a follow up appointment, if needed, to discuss your results with your GP.

Reminder system

Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering your preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system please let your doctor or receptionists know.

Referrals to other services

On occasion you may have been referred to a specialist or allied health professional. The referral letter will be faxed to the relevant health care provider on the day. It is preferred that you make your own enquiries as to the costs associated with these visits. Should you have any difficulties meeting these costs please let your GP know so that alternative arrangements can be made.

Your rights

If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your concerns, suggestion and complaints seriously.
